pityriasis capitis

It was a small  wedding with just a handful of guests.

As I’ve done several times before in such a situation, I’ve invited the guests to join the Bride and Groom on the Chancel – in order to make them more of a part of the proceedings and – metaphorically – to surround them with their love.

We came to the vows, and, as they were repeating them, I felt something brush my collar. Was the Holy Spirit “anointing” what we were doing?

And then, after that pivotal part of the marriage ceremony, I felt it again!

I half turned round…. and it was one of the guests brushing dandruff off my collar!!!

(pitryiasis capitis is the medical term for dandruff)
